ABOUT US
Thanks for taking the time to read this short explanation of who we are and what we believe. On behalf of the congregation here at the Defiance Christian Church; welcome, and enjoy your visit with us.
We are not affiliated with any central denomination. The head of the Church has always been and always will be Jesus Christ. Each of the Christian Churches is locally governed. The Church Board is selected by the congregation from within the membership; we are your friends, neighbors and co-workers. We face the real life issues, failures and trials of this world just like you do, and we face them together. We support each other, encourage each other and bear each others burdens.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is Gods message of redemption to humanity. No other creeds, decrees or edicts are necessary for the Church or for individual spiritual growth. It is the only message of hope to a world badly in need of hope.
We baptize through complete immersion, the way the apostles did it. Membership is open to any immersed believer in Jesus. If you are considering joining us please contact the minister or one of the elders, we will be glad to help you with your decision.
We are seeking those who are seeking answers to life's problems, within these walls you matter. We are open to all who wish to join us in the worship and service of a great and loving God.
If you have a burden to bear, or a talent to share, you are indeed welcome to join us.
